Serial product key 3ds max 2012

I downloaded the installer for with the Autodesk Virtual Agent as was recommended to me by a fellow user. Unfortunately the product asks me for a serial number, and as I dreaded my student key would not work for it.

Is there any way I can receive a key for the 3DS Max? I need specifically the version of 3DS max because it is the most recent version that supports. The version is no longer available, either for Students or for Subscription customers. For this reason, a Serial Number for Autodesk 3ds Max can no longer be obtained.

Look, I know that Autodesk is trying to make money on new subscriptions every year, but if you're going to kill off old versions you should maintain support for their plugins. Other programs of this nature have a legacy mode that does just this. Read my posts again. I would buy a license if I had to because is the only version that supports the plugins I need. Its a fact of life with software: programs will be retired after a certain period.

You cannot guarantee that what you are using today will still be available several years down the road. So it leads to another fact of life for software managers: you need to keep up to date with what is and isn't supported with each new release, and use that to develop and maintain an upgrade plan.

You should check over at the AREA to see if there is an equivalent plug-in for the release you do have rights to. The development is defunct because the plugin is perfect. They would have to remake the plugin from the ground up because from 3DS Max onward was built on different framework.

I have 3ds max installed through the autdesk virtual agent. How hard is it to give me a functional key for a dead program. I'm not asking for support with it, I just need it to work past 30 days. I have student licenses for and I'm not trying to steal anything. You are not offering help here, so please refrain from replying in broken english and allow actual Autodesk staff to reply to my request.
