How to connect to wifi on curve
When using the Internet on the BlackBerry Curve smartphone, you may experience slow download speeds, often caused by using a mobile network connection. Connecting the phone to a Wi-Fi network can improve download speeds while providing the benefit of bypassing data charges.
The Curve can connect to open and secure Wi-Fi networks, though a password is required for secure networks. The Wi-Fi network information is saved to the phone so that you don't have to enter it again should you move out of and back into the Wi-Fi coverage area. Next to the network names is a series of bars which indicate the strength of the connection.
More green bars means a stronger signal. If the network name has a padlock symbol next to it, you'll need the network password to connect. Tap or click the name of the network to which you'd like to connect. A prompt appears if it's a secure network. You can also access BlueCurve Home online using a laptop or desktop computer.
